- Why do I enjoy working as a writing coach?
I am a voracious reader, and writing is ‘my happy place.’ It is something I have done since I had my first job at age 15, and writing has taken me everywhere – I have lived in 15 countries at some point in my truly short lifetime 😊
- Why should students book an appointment with you?
My blend of English education and the business of English for specific purposes; my strong academic background in the practice of English; and my ability to manipulate words for communication, makes me a great fit to help you tell business stories in your own words. I am an award-winning Creative Writer for my book Red Pepper and English Tea published in India and a Mentee of AFRISOC’s Scholarships and Access Committee at the University of Oxford in the UK. By attending my writing workshops or by booking individual coaching sessions with me (online or in-person), I can help you to diagnose your academic writing challenges and proffer personalized solutions to help you on your MBA journey.
- What are your teaching ideologies?
Based on my TESOL research experience, I see that there are underlying proficiency models between a student’s first language and the English language. This presents critical thinking skills that can be leveraged to produce better academic writing. When you work with me, I will implement a progressive learning system to scaffold your writing in all your assignments, and you can benefit from a healthy attachment model to learning that you will be building with me.
